My science
I study host-pathogen interactions at the single cell level, using both experimental and computational tools.
My current project is a collaboration between the Covert and the Monack lab, and it focuses on characterizing cell-to-cell heterogeneity in the context of Salmonella infection.
When not in lab...
Traveling and exploring the outdoors are two of my favorite activities. I enjoy trail running, and since moving to the Bay Area I have tried to pick up surfing (although the water is a bit colder than I expected).
In my free time, and sometimes while doing tissue culture, I love listening to podcasts and keeping track of my favorite sports team (Futbol Club Barcelona).
I am also involved with a few student groups and mentoring activities on campus, such as the Stanford Biotechnology Group and the Oral Communication Program at the Hume Center.
